Meet Shane

I’ve been building homes for a long time—

—long enough to know that the traditional way doesn’t always serve homeowners best. That’s why I started Blue Clear Sky Contracting: to create a different kind of partnership between homeowner and builder.

My story in construction goes back to 2007, when I started building full-time. In 2009, I joined forces with my dad, who still handles commercial work and teaches part-time at the local college in Safford, AZ. He’s semi-retired now, but he’s the one who helped me lay the foundation—literally and figuratively—for what I do today.

I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. There’s something deeply satisfying about working with your hands, putting in the effort, and seeing a project come to life. Over the years, I’ve built hundreds of houses. At a certain point, the nuts and bolts of construction became second nature, what still excites me is the design process. Taking someone’s dream, their Pinterest boards, their notes scribbled on a napkin—and turning that into a custom home that fits them perfectly—that never gets old.

What sets me apart is simple: I don’t build homes for my clients, I build homes with them. My process is designed to keep everything transparent and collaborative, so homeowners feel empowered and confident every step of the way.

When I’m not on a job site or working on new designs, you’ll probably find me playing music around Arizona. Music has always been a part of my life, and just like building, it’s another way I get to create and connect. And honestly, building houses and writing songs aren’t all that different—both need a solid foundation (ok, that was a bad dad joke…).

At the end of the day, this business isn’t about square footage or finishes; it’s about people. It’s about helping families build smarter, save money, and feel proud of the place they get to call home.
